It is with great pride and bittersweet emotion that we announce the retirement of Colonel David M. McIllece, United States Air Force.

After thirty years of honorable and distinguished service, Dave will retire from active duty, marking the end of an extraordinary chapter in our family’s story.

His career has taken him from flight lines and classrooms to command posts and international partnerships — always guided by integrity, leadership, and a love of country.

While this moment carries both sadness and celebration, our hearts are full of gratitude — for the people who have served beside him, the mentors who inspired him, and the family and friends who have supported him every step of the way.

We invite you to join us as we honor his legacy and celebrate the beginning of his next great adventure.

Where the Air Force Took Us —
and What We Found Along the Way

For thirty years, the Air Force carried our family around the world — through assignments, deployments, and countless moves. Each pin on this map marks a place we lived, worked, explored, or grew together. These places hold our laughter, our challenges, and our memories — reminders that home has never been one location, but every place we’ve shared along the way.
