The Work That Changes Everything
For three decades, I said "I'm just a mom" when people asked what I did. I've moved 20 times as a military spouse, raised four children, and managed deployments, transitions, and the constant work of rebuilding in new places where no one knew my name or my story. I thought that was enough. I thought sacrifice meant making myself smaller.
But somewhere between move eighteen and move nineteen, I stopped accepting that narrative. I started asking harder questions: Who am I when everything around me shifts? What do I keep? What do I release? How do I build an identity that travels?
The answers didn't come from another move or another fresh start. They came from stopping long enough to get clear about what mattered—my values, my strengths, the practices that grounded me no matter where I landed. That's when I discovered the centerline: the place where your truth lives, where clarity cuts through noise, and where real leadership begins.
I launched Soul Force Strategies at 52, because I finally knew who I was and what I had to offer. Not despite the transitions, but because of them. Every move, every reinvention, every moment of starting over taught me what it takes to build a life that doesn't depend on stable ground.
Now I help others do the same.
