I've spent 30 years learning what it means to build an identity that travels. Twenty moves. Four children. Countless reinventions in new cities where no one knew my name or my story. For most of that time, when someone asked what I did, I said, "I'm just a mom."
Just.
That word carried the weight of everything I'd set aside to move with the mission, to hold the family together through deployments and transitions, to start over again and again. But somewhere between move nineteen and move twenty, I stopped accepting that story. I started asking: What do I keep? What do I release? Who am I when everything around me shifts?
That's when I discovered that clarity isn't something that happens to you—it's something you build from the centerline. And once you have it, you need to be able to show it, not just feel it.
